Well…that about sums it up.
Kidding…
Really though, I’m glad you’re here. If this were my house, I’d love nothing more than to have you in for coffee to sit and visit for awhile. Let’s not pretend though that if you dropped by unannounced that we wouldn’t be having that coffee amidst piles of unfolded laundry and tufts of dog hair. Still…we’d have coffee. You came to visit me after all anyways, right?!
If you’ve been with me a long time, then you know what started as a little pet project of a home blog sort of morphed into a really different journey of my life. It’s all a little crazy when I think about it, but here I am. A little bit of whiskey in a teacup.
I never do know what to tell you that you’ll find here…but it’s all a mish mash of me. Some cooking, some thinking, some faith, some funny…you never really know, but that’s the whiskey part I guess.
And the teacup…well, I’m trying to figure that part out a bit, but the best I can figure is that I’m just a girl trying to keep it all together. Maybe a bit of a chipped teacup, but one that knows my Creator doesn’t make mistakes and I’m curious to see what happens in this life of mine.
If there’s one thing I do know, it’s that I don’t know a whole lot. But I’m always up for an adventure and learning to live curiously after the things of God has journeyed me from interior decorator and stay-at-home mom to writer and Allume Executive Director and host.
I didn’t plan for any of it, and continue to be amazed and humbled by all of it.
If you’re looking for the standard bio…well, here you go. Besides all of that rigamarole though, I’m really glad you’re here.
