Hey friends! I’m back from a great time with my sister and sweet new baby nephew this past weekend! And of course, flung full speed ahead back into my own life of chaos and goodness! Got a couple of things to share, but wanted to share a SUPER exciting thing first!
Midnight tonight (turning the calendar to March 1) is when Allume Social tickets go on sale! If you sign up early enough you get a special early-bird rate and have the satisfaction of knowing that you got a ticket. Last year the conference was completely sold out within the first few days, so I want you all, my friends, to get in on this thing and COME!
The conference is in Harrisburg, PA from
Thursday, October 25, 2012 at 4:00 PM – Saturday, October 27, 2012 at 9:00 PM (ET)
Seriously…it’s one of the best things I’ve been to in YEARS for a gazillion awesome reasons, and as part of the team who’s making it great this year, I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to see ya’ll there. To purchase tickets, go HERE. Trust me…you will LOVE! (If you’re a dude, you’re gonna find yourself not entirely included though as this is a women’s conference.)
Check out this fabulous trailer for the conference to get a better sense of what’s in store for ya. New Name…Still Relevant! Allume Social Trailer
Like I said, tickets sell out fast, and if you even kinda think you would like to come, snag a ticket now so you’re not kicking yourself come October! I thankfully was able to get a late ticket for this past year when I saw someone on twitter found out she was pregnant and due the same time as the conference, so there may be a couple of random later opportunities, but you have a MUCH better chance of selling a ticket down the road than finding one for sure. You think I’m creating a sense of urgency here? Well just know, it’s in earnest…not some sales pitch. I just know they will sell out fast (history does have a tendency of repeating itself,) and I’d love for ya’ll to come and experience the weekend of goodness that this conference offers.
Ok, so the other exciting thing that I want to share is that I just got a really exciting decorating job for a doctor’s office here in town. Remember my friend who’s surprise nursery I decorated a few months back? Well, Mr. Surprise Nursery is a doc whose brand new office building needs some decorating love, so he suggested me for the job! I really kicked into high gear this week getting things together as it’s an insanely tight deadline (as in 3 weeks from now moving in.) I’ve been working my tail off this week, and for the first time since I’ve had kids, I have to get a sitter every single day of the week…just for the next 3 weeks til it’s all done. I’m super excited about the opportunity and the great stuff I’ve put together for them so far. I’ll show you all pics when I’m done for sure!
What that also means though is that my real life is INSANE right now, and I’m not even gonna pretend that I have time or even want to be blogging while I’m working on this. The past few nights have been late ones for me, and the few precious moments that I get to have at home with my family over the next 3 weeks will be spent soaking them in all that I can. Basically, I’m taking a bloggy break until I get through this project. It’s what I need to do for the health of my family.
During this break though, I do have a doctor’s appointment to find out the gender of baby Bubbles. I’m thinking that the ultrasounds will be more for sure than the Intelligender test I took last week (which projects that this baby will be BOY #3 for me, for those of you who never could figure out the dang test results!) All to say…I’ll pop on to tell you that bit of fun news for sure! And as soon as I’m done with this project, I’m gonna be back. It’s been a crazy few months here lately with being so pregnantly sick for awhile, and now that I’ve finally turned a corner and feel AMAZING in my 2nd trimester, I have this ginormous job going. It’s all good stuff and I’m thrilled, but well….a girl just has to be realistic about what she can and cannot accomplish.
So for those of you who generously have emailed or told me that you think I’m one of those people who can “do everything,” let this be your note of remembrance that in fact, I cannot!
Love you peeps to pieces, and should I have a chance, I’ll try to pop on, but I’m removing the pressure from myself to feel that I must anytime between now and March 26th.
Please come to Allume Social with me this October! We’ll have a blast!
